Our story

Learning should change what feels possible.

Auri was born from a shared frustration with training that feels routine, industrial, or disconnected from the work people actually do.

Why Auri exists

Discipline meets imagination.

After years spent teaching, facilitating, and building learning for organizations, Mike Leon and Tanja Coughlan saw the same gap again and again: people wanted to grow, but too much training gave them information without momentum.

They created Auri to make learning feel different—grounded in real work, alive with participation, and designed around the whole person. The result is an approach that is serious about outcomes without taking itself too seriously.

The colourful Auri flame symbol

What’s in a name?

A glow that is entirely your own.

Auri begins with the idea of an aura: the shifting colours, qualities, and energy that make a person more than any one title or skill. Every part has value. The right learning does not flatten those differences—it helps them shine together.

The name also carries echoes of dawn and gold: warmth, possibility, and the first light on a new path. Our flame symbol holds that story in motion—a bright, many-coloured spark with enough structure to become momentum.
